Wolfgang Kafer was a German pianist, composer, and arranger, born in Český Krumlov, German-occupied Sudetenland, in 1939. He passed away in Hillerød, Denmark, in 2022. While living in Czechoslovakia, he worked as a dance band leader in West Germany, Austria, and Denmark. Ultimately deciding to stay in Denmark, Käfer established himself as a record arranger and library music composer. He had numerous compositions published and conducted Denmark's Eurovision entry in 1985, also serving as an arranger for several other entries in the contest.
