Woody Vasulka was a Czech-born American pioneering video artist, born on January 20, 1937, in Brno (former Czechoslovakia). He passed away on December 20, 2019. In 1964, he married and, the following year, he emigrated to the United States. He is recognized as a founder of significant contributions to video art.
