X-Cetra is a preteen pop group that formed in suburban Santa Rosa, CA, at the turn of the millennium. The group consists of 11-year-olds Jessica Hall, Ayden Mayeri, and Janet Washburn, along with 9-year-old Mary Washburn. Inspired by The Spice Girls, Fiona Apple, and Destiny’s Child, the girls spent their time singing, dancing, and creating videos. Their sole album, "Stardust," was produced when musician Robin O’Brien, who is Janet and Mary’s mom, agreed to record them in her home studio. With O’Brien's arranging and production experience, the girls’ original lyrics were set to electronica tracks by Berlin musician Künstler Treu. The collaboration resulted in an addictive pop album that showcases the unique blend of the girls’ creativity and the professional touch of O’Brien and Treu.
