X-Raided is an American rapper from Sacramento, California, originally born in Waco, Texas. He moved to Sacramento at a young age and is the cousin of another rapper. Brown was arrested the day before the release of his debut album and was sent to prison for his involvement in a gang-related homicide committed when he was a minor. From 1993 to 1995, he recorded a significant amount of material entirely over the telephone while incarcerated, which was released on the 1995 album. After serving 26 years in prison, he was released from Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility near San Diego on September 14, 2018.
