Yann Tiersen is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist, born on June 23, 1970, in Brest, Brittany, France. After studying classical violin, piano, and conducting, he began composing music for theatre, with some of these works featured in his debut album "La Valse Des Monstres" (1995). Tiersen is known for his film scores, including music for well-known movies such as "Amélie" (2001), "La vie rêvée des anges" ("The Dreamlife Of Angels") (1998), and "Goodbye Lenin" (2003). In recent years, his sound has shifted towards rock music and electronics.
