Yaryu is a fluid community formed in 2022, consisting of people who meet to spin sounds and engage in conversation. Based mainly in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture, the group includes musicians on keyboards/harp, Indian flute/harp, bass, koto/guitar, and piano/percussion/photography/engineering. Yaryu holds improvisation workshops for inexperienced musicians, organizes session events, and performs live at galleries, while also producing ambient-based music.
