Yo Yo Mundi is an Italian band formed in the late 1980s, consisting of original members Paolo Enrico Archetti Maestri, Andrea Cavalieri, Eugenio Merico, and Fabio Martino, with Fabrizio Barale joining in 1996. They released their debut album, "La Diserzione degli Animali del Circo" (The Desertion of the Animals of the Circus), in 1994 and have since published eleven additional records, including "Sciopero," "Alla Bellezza dei Margini," "54," "Resistenza," "La Banda Tom e altre storie partigiane," "Fuoriusciti," and "Chang." Over the years, they have collaborated with various artists, such as Lella Costa, Ivano Fossati, Teresa De Sio, Violent Femmes, and many others. Yo Yo Mundi is known for their dynamic live performances in Italy and abroad, with notable tours in the UK in 2006 and 2008. They established a publishing house, recording studio, and record label, Sciopero Records, to support spontaneous music and create a new space in the Italian music industry. Their latest album, a collection of singer-songwriter tracks, was released by Il Manifesto cd records in December 2008, marking a six-year gap since their previous album "Alla Bellezza dei Margini."
