Young Marble Giants was a Welsh post-punk band formed in Cardiff, Wales, in 1978. The group's music featured the distinctive vocals of Alison Statton, complemented by the minimalist instrumentation of brothers Philip and Stuart Moxham. They released one studio album, "Colossal Youth," in 1980, along with two EPs and recorded a session for John Peel. After the band's disbandment, Statton went on to form another group, which later became known as something else. Meanwhile, Moxham and Mottram became involved in a different project and continued to produce records for another label.
