**Bio: Young Mods** The Young Mods were a vocal soul group from Dayton, Ohio, active from 1969 to 1978. Led by Tommy Henderson, who also wrote the group's notable songs, the lineup included Ronnie Ditto, Carl Dronaugh, and Raymond Smith. The group released three remarkable 45s of sweet soul music, with their first single pressed by Musicol, likely recorded there as well. Their second release, "I Can’t Hurt You Back," is often regarded as their best work. The Young Mods' style echoed that of the Chi-Lites and other contemporary groups, characterized by a vulnerable and wistful sound. Their third 45 was recorded at Cyberteknics in Dayton several years later.
