Young Zee, a talented rapper from Brick City, gained recognition for his clever rhymes and unique sound. He began his career as a solo artist before joining forces with Pace Won, D.U., and Rah Digga to form the underground group Outsidaz in 1995. Their growing popularity caught the attention of an A&R manager at Perspective Records, leading to a deal that allowed Young Zee to release his first single, "Problems," which created a buzz in the hip-hop community. Young Zee later secured a solo deal with Ruff Nation/Columbia Records while continuing to represent the Outsidaz. He gained national fame with his guest appearance on the Fugees' multi-platinum album "The Score," particularly on the track "Cowboys." After a two-year stint with Ruff Nation/Columbia Records, the Outsidaz signed with Ruff Nation/Warner Bros. and released the EP "Night Life" and the album "The Bricks." However, in 2001, Young Zee chose to pursue a solo career and parted ways with both Ruff Nation and the Outsidaz. Known for his sharp lyrics and dynamic skills, Young Zee has toured with notable artists such as Redman, Method Man, and EPMD, and has performed internationally with Eminem and D12. He was a finalist in the HBO Blaze Battle competition and has produced tracks for Rah Digga. Young Zee has made appearances on various television shows, including BET Live, Rap City, and MTV.
