Yukiko Okada was a Japanese idol born on August 22, 1967. She gained fame as the winner of the talent show "Star Tanjō!" in Tokyo and starred in her first television drama, Kinjirareta Mariko (The Forbidden Mariko), in 1985. Tragically, on April 8, 1986, she was found by her manager with a slashed wrist in her gas-filled apartment. After being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, she later jumped to her death from the seven-story Sun Music building. Her death led to a phenomenon in Japan known as "Yukiko Syndrome," characterized by copycat suicides. Yukiko Okada passed away at the young age of 18.
