Yura Yura Teikoku (ゆらゆら帝国), meaning "The Wobbling Empire," was a 3-piece band from Tokyo's underground music scene, particularly centered in Kōenji. Known for their eclectic sound often described as psychedelic rock, they gained significant recognition and influence within Japan. Despite their success, it took 16 years after their formation in 1989 for them to perform outside Japan, making their international debut in New York City in 2005. The band disbanded on March 31, 2010.
