Yurie Kokubu is a Japanese singer born on January 18, 1955. She made her debut in 1983, and her song "Akogare," released in 1995, became the ending theme for the NTV program Shitteru Tsumori (Do You Really Know About It?!), which aired for one year. Since 1996, Kokubu has been working as a Christian and has released hymn albums that rewrite the lyrics of traditional hymns in an easy-to-understand manner. She is also noted for being the wife of her husband, whose name is not mentioned.
