Zakir Hussain is an Indian tabla virtuoso, percussionist, music composer, and actor. He is known for his contributions to Indian classical music and for his collaborations with various musicians across different genres. Born on March 9, 1951, in Mumbai, India, he is the son of the legendary tabla player Ustad Allarakha. Zakir Hussain has gained international acclaim for his performances and has been instrumental in popularizing Indian classical music worldwide.
