Ziad Rahbani (January 1, 1956 - July 26, 2025) was a Lebanese composer, pianist, performer, playwright, and political commentator. He was the eldest son of notable figures in the arts. Rahbani is renowned throughout the Arab world for his musical compositions, particularly for his work with Fairuz from the 1980s onwards. His musicals often satirize Lebanese politics, both during and after the civil war, and are known for their strong criticism of the traditional political establishment.
