Zito Righi, born in 1924 in Mendes, Brazil, was a Brazilian instrumentalist, conductor, and composer. He lived in Rio de Janeiro until 1931 before moving to Paty do Alferes. Righi began his musical journey playing the cavaquinho and later the saxophone. In 1936, he performed with the Conjunto dos Boêmios. He returned to Rio de Janeiro in 1943 to further his music career and gained recognition for his saxophone skills. From 1950 to 1972, he became well-known for creating Zito Righi E Seu Conjunto and later adopted the pseudonym Bob Fleming. He passed away in 2000 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
