ZNR is a Marseille-based left-field experimental group that emerged in the mid-1970s. The name ZNR stands for Zazou - Néneux - Racaille, reflecting key members of the pioneering underground band, alongside a rotating roster of talent from the left-field, folk, and jazz scenes. Throughout their history, ZNR released two very different albums: one is widely regarded as a landmark and seminal work, while the other features a more reflective blend of avant-classical and "café music." After the band disbanded, its members pursued solo careers and other projects.
