Zongamin is the recording project of Susumu Mukai, a Japanese-born, London-based musician known for his playful fusion of funk, disco, dub, and electronic experimentation. Emerging in the early 2000s with releases on labels like XL Recordings and Flesh, Mukai brought a distinctive, offbeat energy to the underground dance scene. His self-titled debut album and subsequent singles such as “Serious Trouble” earned cult acclaim for their inventive grooves, lo-fi textures, and cross-genre fluidity, establishing Zongamin as a singular voice in leftfield electronic music.
