Zoviet*France is a music group based in Newcastle upon Tyne, in the northeast of England. Known for their experimental and often dissonant sound, their music features industrial textures and falls into the atmospheric category. The group was formed in 1980 and has had several members over the years, including Lisa Hale (1980-1981), Robin Storey (1980-1992), Peter Jensen (1980-1984), Ben Ponton (1980-present), Paolo di Paolo (1984-1986), Mark Spybey (1987-1989), Andy Eardley (1990-1995), and Mark Warren (1995-present).
