Z. Z. Hill, born on September 30, 1935, in Naples, Texas, was an American blues and soul singer. His stage name, pronounced Zee Zee Hill, was a tribute to B.B. King. Hill's last performance took place on April 23, 1984, at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas. Just four days later, he passed away on April 27, 1984, due to complications from a blood clot in his leg, which was linked to a car accident he experienced while touring in February of that year. He was laid to rest in Gethsemane Cemetery in Naples, Texas.
