Iain Chambers is a London-based sound artist and composer, active solo and with the groups Rubbish Music (with Kate Carr) and Langham Research Centre. He runs the pioneering label Persistence of Sound, presenting the best musique concrète, electroacoustic music and field recordings. Iain’s practice reimagines the built and natural environment as a source of sonic creativity, exploring how sound transforms our perception of place, memory, and identity. He makes programmes for stations including BBC Radio 3 and 4, Resonance FM, Westdeutscher Rundfunk, and ABC Radio National.
