Pete Herbert is a UK-based DJ, producer and remixer whose career has spanned more than three decades. His journey began in the mid-'90s in the records shops of Soho, co-founding London's legendary Atlas Records, a hub for DJs, collectors and tastemakers that helped shape the city's underground music scene. As a DJ, Pete has built an international reputation for effortlessly joining the dots between disco, Balearic, house and leftfield electronic music. Equally at home in peak-time clubs or sunset sessions, his sets have taken him from London's most iconic dancefloors, including Fabric, Ministry of Sound and Sancho Panza at Notting Hill Carnival, to residencies in Paris, Madrid, Marseille and Bali, as well as festivals such as Love International, EXIT and Mareh. His travels have seen him perform extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico and South America and Bali where he spent several years based, including two years as Music Director at Potato Head Beach Club. In the studio, Pete's eclectic musical outlook has led to more than 400 releases across a wide range of projects, solo or as Reverso 68, Frontera (with Phil Mison), Maxi Disco, Paradise Row (with Dicky Trisco), Bakazou and Cuica. As a remixer, he's reworked artists including Röyksopp, Grace Jones, Kylie Minogue, Tensnake, Daniele Baldelli, Cantoma and Roots Manuva, always bringing his warm, groove-led approach to the dancefloor. Alongside his productions, Pete runs the Music For Swimming Pools label and hosts the long-running weekly Music For Swimming Pools Radio Show now based on @rovr.live. His latest album, Far Flung, perfectly reflects the musical world he's spent a lifetime exploring - blending Balearic, disco, downtempo and electronic influences into a sound that is unmistakably his own.
